What the Tejas OS website and the operating system do with your information. In short: no trackers on the site, and no data collection added by Tejas OS.

Who we are

Tejas OS is a free operating system created by Jaspal Khalsa under the JK Design brand. This policy explains what information is handled when you visit www.tejasos.com or use Tejas OS. Contact: jaspalrocks21@gmail.com.

The website

  • No accounts, sign-up forms, cookies or analytics trackers are used on this website.
  • Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, time and page requested) to run and protect the site.
  • Fonts load from Google Fonts and page scripts load from cdnjs (Cloudflare). Your browser contacts those services, which receive your IP address and browser details under their own privacy policies.
  • Downloads are hosted on GitHub. When you download Tejas OS, GitHub's privacy policy applies to that request.

Tejas OS itself

  • The parts made for Tejas OS (the welcome app, Get more apps and Bridge) do not collect or send personal data.
  • Automatic security updates contact Debian's servers to check for and download updates. The app store and Get more apps contact Debian and Flathub servers when you install software.
  • Apps included in Tejas OS, such as Firefox and LibreOffice, are made by other projects and may have their own optional data settings. You can review these in each app's settings.
  • Your files stay on your computer. Tejas OS does not upload them anywhere.

Emails you send us

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and we do not sell or share them.

Children

Tejas OS can be used by families. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian should help younger users install and set up Tejas OS.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Tejas OS develops. The latest version, with its date, will always be on this page.
